Advancing water conservation in manufacturing

Water Reduction at North American Sites

In 2024, the North American water reduction team successfully cut water usage by 59 million gallons through process optimization and conservation initiatives. These efforts help preserve water resources and improve operational efficiency.

Driving energy efficiency across operations

Energy Savings at Bradford

The Bradford site reduced energy consumption by 7 GWh in 2024 through efficiency upgrades and process improvements. These efforts support Solenis' goal of lowering energy demand while maintaining production performance.

Reducing water use and process waste

Rinsewater and Residue Reuse at Kirchheimbolanden

By implementing a closed-loop system, Kirchheimbolanden saves 1,000,000 liters of drinking water annually while reducing wastewater pollution and improving raw material efficiency.

Enhancing efficiency in energy and water use

Electricity and Water Efficiency at Münchwilen

Despite increased production hours, Münchwilen has reduced electricity use by 40% over 10 years and cut water consumption for machine testing by 60% through reuse initiatives.

Expanding the use of renewable energy

Solar Energy Expansion at Zhuhai and Springvale Plants

By installing solar panels at our Zhuhai warehouse and Springvale administrative building, Solenis now generates 5–10% of these sites' electricity from renewable sources. This initiative reduces reliance on conventional power and further integrates renewable energy into our daily operations.

Supporting circular solutions for industrial waste

Recycling Used Personal Protective Equipment at Conde Duque

The Conde Duque site is working with suppliers to recycle used safety boots, diverting protective equipment from landfills and promoting sustainable waste management.

Supporting circular solutions for industrial waste

Recycling Initiatives at Florence

The Florence site is actively recycling plastic components, cardboard, and pallets, while also developing processes to reclaim wipes canister materials and reduce landfill waste.

Reducing material waste and carbon footprint

IBCs Recovery Leadership in Brazil

Solenis reclaimed 89,873 intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), preventing 3,774.6 tons of steel, 1,437.9 tons of plastic, and 8,987.3 tons of CO₂ emissions, making it the top recovery company in Brazil.

Improving air quality and process waste management

Effluent Evaporation Project at Vila Bosch, Argentina
